Het Internationale Ruimtestation (ISS) zal zes unieke beelden via SSTV uitzenden. De gebruikelijke frequentie van 145.800 MHz zal worden gebruikt voor het uitzenden van SSTV-beelden in PD120-modus. "Securing authorization from the Park has been one of the most challenging aspects of this project", he says, "but I'm pleased to report that we're finally moving forward". ▶️Equatoriaal-Guinea schorst amateurradio vergunningen

▶️In Equatoriaal-Guinea heeft de overheid de vergunningen voor amateurradio opgeschort na wat zij ongeoorloofde DX-pedities noemde. Toen DXpeditioners de 3COW- en 3C3W-activiteiten in Equatoriaal-Guinea afbliezen, heeft de overheid alle vergunningen voor amateurradio in het land opgeschort. De autoriteiten maakten bekend dat een bezoekende amateurradio-operator toegang had gekregen tot gevoelige gebieden in het land met radioapparatuur die niet geautoriseerd was. De overheidsmededeling noemde de namen van de radio-operators niet, maar verschillende DX-websites online vermeldden Yuris, YL2GM en Eugene, EA5EL, als DXpeditioners die opereerden vanaf Annobon Island in de Zuid-Atlantische Oceaan. Beide roepnamen werden gezien in de spottingclusters, waarbij de laatste spot van 3COW op 11 september werd gemaakt, vergezeld door de opmerking dat er slecht nieuws was gemeld op DX-World.net. Dat bericht meldde dat de operatie was doorgegaan "zonder de legaliteit van de apparatuur of de naleving van de toegewezen frequenties met de nationale regelgeving grondig te verifieren. " In het bericht meldde de regering van Malabo de roepnamen niet, maar meldde dat de radioamateurs in 2018 en dit jaar vergunningen hadden aangevraagd, maar niet hadden geverifieerd of de te gebruiken apparatuur aan de wettelijke eisen voldeed. Yuris plaatste een update op DX-World, waarin hij bevestigde dat het team er nog niet in was geslaagd de lokale vergunning te verkrijgen om als 3COW op Annobon Island te opereren en dat ze terugkeerden naar het vasteland, waar ze eerder een succesvolle activering als 3C3W hadden gehad. Ondertussen meldden de autoriteiten dat de opschorting van vergunningen de overheid in staat zal stellen een nieuw regelgevingskader te ontwikkelen met betrekking tot legale frequenties en apparatuur - een maatregel die volgens hen ook in lijn is met de nationale veiligheidseisen. In een verklaring van de overheid stond: "Het doel is ervoor te zorgen dat er geen hoogfrequente apparatuur het land binnenkomt zonder de juiste goedkeuring en beoordeling van de vergunning. " Het nieuws komt een maand voor de geplande 3C2MD DX-peditie van de Mediterraneo DX Club International, die plaatsvindt van 30 oktober tot en met 11 november. ▶️DXLook is trots om de lancering van vhf.dxlook.com aan te kondigen, een gloednieuw platform speciaal voor realtime visualisatie van VHF-propagatieactiviteit. De VHF-kaart biedt radioamateurs een eenvoudige manier om te zien waar signalen worden gehoord, met behulp van live APRS-IS-gegevens om paden, hops en dekkingscontouren weer te geven. Stations verschijnen dynamisch op de kaart en hun ontvangstbereik is gegroepeerd in clusters op basis van afstand, waardoor operators openingen kunnen identificeren en de lokale propagatie beter kunnen begrijpen. Belangrijkste kenmerken: Realtime APRS-ontvangstgegevens van duizenden ontvangststations wereldwijd. Dynamische clusters/contouren die het werkelijke ontvangstbereik weergeven in afstandsklassen (50 km, 150 km, 250 km, 500 km, 750 km). Interactieve kaartbediening om de dekking per tijdseenheid te bekijken. Snelle, eenvoudige interface ontworpen voor zowel desktop- als mobiele gebruikers. De nieuwe VHF-weergave van DXLook is vooral handig voor operators die geinteresseerd zijn in FM-repeaters, APRS, contesten en portable stations. Het biedt een duidelijk beeld van wanneer en waar de propagatie zich buiten de gebruikelijke zichtlijn uitstrekt. ▶️Oefening "Cloud Warmer" van de Royal Air Force Air Cadets

▶️Datum: 18 september 2025

▶️De oefening "Cloud Warmer" van de Engelse Royal Air Force Air Cadets vindt plaats in de 60-meterband van 1945 tot 2000 UTC (2145-2200 zomertijd, straks 2045-2100 wintertijd) tot en met 31 december. De cadettenstations roepen "Alpha Charlie", wat overeenkomt met onze CQ-oproep. De roepnamen van de militaire radiostations tijdens de oefening is MRE + 2 cijfers. LET OP: Dit zijn geen amateurstations, maar militaire stations. Het leger is de primaire gebruiker in dit gebied! Contact van Duitse stations met hen zou een schending zijn van artikel 5, paragraaf 5 van de AFuG (Duitse radiowet). De juridische situatie is anders voor Britse radioamateurs. Ik denk dat het volgens de Nederlandse regels ook niet mag: in de regels staat "Radiocommunicatie tussen amateurstations van verschillende landen is toegestaan, tenzij de administratie van een van de betreffende landen heeft aangegeven, bezwaar te hebben tegen dergelijke communicatie. " De pijn zit in het woord "amateurstations", want dat zijn het niet. Britse volledig gelicentieerde amateurstations kunnen een rapport, de Maidenhead-locator en details over de gebruikte apparatuur/antennes uitwisselen. Het doel van de oefening is het onderzoeken van de propagatie van 4 tot 10 MHz. Post Views: 3

▶️FCC overweegt toestemming voor het blokkeren van mobiele telefoons in gevangenissen

▶️Het blokkeren van mobiele telefoons is illegaal in de Verenigde Staten, maar de FCC overweegt om gevangenissen toestemming te geven om mobiele telefoons van gedetineerden te blokkeren. De Federal Communications Commission hoopt federale en staatsgevangenissen het recht te geven om mobiele telefoons die naar gedetineerden zijn gesmokkeld, te blokkeren. De commissie heeft deze maand een stemming gepland om een beperking op te heffen die dergelijke blokkeringen in de gevangenissen verbiedt. Gedetineerden mogen de telefoons niet bij zich hebben, omdat ze volgens de commissie worden gebruikt om criminele activiteiten te ontplooien terwijl ze vastzitten. De Amerikaanse wet verbiedt het gebruik - en zelfs de verkoop of distributie - van apparatuur die geautoriseerde signalen kan blokkeren, zoals radiocommunicatie, politieradar, gps-apparaten en mobiele telefoons. Blokkering is verboden volgens de Communications Act van 1934, die sinds de oorspronkelijke opstelling is gewijzigd en bijgewerkt. Het nadeel is dat jammers geen onderscheid maken tussen telefoons van gedetineerden en telefoons van personeel en bezoekers. Of die dat gaan accepteren is de vraag. . .
