▶️Over-the-horizon radars (OTHR's) zijn al jaren de belangrijkste bron van interferentie op onze HF-banden voor amateurradio. In 2025 zagen we niet alleen een algemene toename van OTHR-activiteit, maar ook een diversificatie van de OTHR-methoden. Deze diversificaties omvatten veranderingen in de zendbandbreedte, de pulsherhalingsfrequentie (PRF) en het gebruik van nieuwe frequenties, evenals de methoden die worden gebruikt om de signalen uit te zenden, zoals frequentiehopping. In de meeste gevallen heeft dit geleid tot een toename van de interferentie in vergelijking met de helaas al bekende en gangbare uitzendingen van deze radarsystemen. Frequentiehopping maakt het bijvoorbeeld extreem moeilijk voor radioamateurs om het deel van een amateurband te vermijden dat wordt beinvloed door radarsignalen. ▶️Woensdag 14 januari is er weer afdelingsbijeenkomst van de Radio Amateurs Zoetermeer. De eerste bijeenkomst deze maand, dus zal ijs en weder dienende de QSL-manager aanwezig zijn voor het uitwisselen van de kaarten. CT Portugal - The Rede dos Emissores Portugueses (REP) has announced an activity open to its members across Portugal, running from 8 January to 31 December. Using the special callsign CT100REP (including /p or /m), this year-long collective activity celebrates the 100th anniversary of the founding of the REP, Portugal's IARU society. Operation is planned across various HF, VHF, and UHF bands using multiple modes (SSB, CW, Digital) and satellites. DL Germany - The DARC Team SES will be active as DA2026SKI between 15 January and 15 February for the FIS Ski-Flying World Championships to be held in Oberstdorf. QSL via DK5ON, LoTW or DCL (DARC Community Logbook). EA Spain - "Plus Ultra" was a flying boat which completed the first transatlantic flight between Spain and South America in January 1926. ▶️ARRL organiseert in 2026 het Jaar van de Club

▶️In het nieuwe jaar 2026 heeft de ARRL een bijzonder initiatief aangekondigd: het wordt officieel het Jaar van de Club. Vanaf 1 januari 2026 staat een volledige jaargang in het teken van hun radioclubs, hun vrijwilligers en hun onmisbare rol binnen de amateurradio. Met deze viering wil ARRL benadrukken waar de kracht van onze radiohobby werkelijk ligt: bij de clubs. Radioclubs vormen al decennialang het fundament van de amateurradio. Voor velen is een club de eerste kennismaking met de hobby: een plaats om te leren, te experimenteren, te zenden en deel uit te maken van een gemeenschap. Clubs zijn broedplaatsen voor mentorschap, technische kennis, maatschappelijke dienstverlening en - niet in het minst - levenslange vriendschappen. Wanneer clubs bloeien, bloeit ook de amateurradio. De boodschap van ARRL voor 2026 is helder: vier wat je radioclub al goed doet, durf te vernieuwen en wees actief op de radio. Of een club nu klein of groot is, pas opgericht of al bijna een eeuw aangesloten, het Jaar van de Club is een uitnodiging om verbinding te maken, te innoveren en het eigen verhaal te delen. Het jaar 2026 belooft zo, naar aanleiding van het initiatief van de ARRL, een jaar te worden waarin radioclubs - terecht - volop in de schijnwerpers staan. Post Views: 2

▶️Gastlicentie voor houders van een Novice-licentie in Noorwegen

▶️Noorwegen verstrekt gastlicenties aan houders van buitenlandse Novice-licenties. De Noorse Telecommunicatieautoriteit (Nkom) bevestigde dit op 7 januari 2026 naar aanleiding van een vraag vanuit Duitsland. Dit betekent dat houders van een DO- of DA6-roepnaam (vergelijkbaar met onze PD-licentie) nu een radio mogen gebruiken tijdens een kort verblijf in Noorwegen. Dezelfde gebruiksvoorwaarden gelden als voor volledige licenties. Aanvragen moeten worden verzonden naar firmapost? nkom.no. De reden voor de vraag aan Nkom was het feit dat Noorwegen de CEPT Novice-licentie nog niet heeft ingevoerd, aangezien het momenteel slechts een licentieklasse heeft. Daarom is het houders van een buitenlandse Novice-licentie niet toegestaan om zonder gastlicentie een radio in Noorwegen te gebruiken. Maar op aanvraag zou een gastlicentie in Noorwegen nu tot te mogelijkheden behoren. Post Views: 2

▶️Spanje verlengt speciale toestemming voor amateurradio

▶️In Spanje zijn een aantal speciale toestemmingen voor amateurradio-operators verlengd tot 31 december. Dit betreft specifiek het gebruik van de 160-meterband in het bereik van 1850 tot 2000 kHz voor deelname aan contesten en het voortgezette gebruik van de 13-centimeterband in het bereik van 2400 tot 2410 MHz voor QO-100-communicatie. Het maximaal toegestane vermogen is 1500 W EIRP en richtantennes met een minimale versterking van 21,5 dBi. Due to a medical emergency involving a close family member of MM0NDX, however, the operation has been postponed at the last minute. While the trip is currently on hold, the team still intends to be active during the low band season - likely in February - once the situation stabilizes. New dates will be announced as soon as possible. 4S Sri Lanka - The Amateur Radio Civil Services Network (ARCSN) will activate 4S7RCS from Baththalangunduwa Island on 4-5 January. ZK3 Tokelau Island - Members of the Perseverance DX Group (PDXG) and the Western Washington DX Club (WWDXC) are organizing a DXpedition to the Tokelau Islands (OC-048), currently Club Log's 42 Most Wanted (24 EU). The last DXpedition to Tokelau was ZK3A in 2019. Written permission to enter the island is in-hand, and they are now working with the government of Tokelau on logistics. The government will coordinate travel to the island, operating location, sleeping and meal arrangements. The team of experienced DXpedition and contest operators include K3EL, K5GS, KE4KY, KN2P, N7JP, N7QT, N9ADG, W1SRD, WA7CPA, WD5COV, HA0NAR, IK0FVC, and ZL3CW. The group will depart Apia (Samoa) in early November, arriving in Tokelau following a 30-hour ferry crossing. They intend to remain on the island for 14 days. ▶️Sinds vele jaren brengen de Bulgaren elk jaar stations in de lucht om hun heiligen te gedenken. In het begin was het er elke maand een, maar ze beginnen kennelijk op te raken, want afgelopen jaar waren het er nog maar 6. Maar Polen heeft er nog genoeg in voorraad. . . De Dobrzycki Amateur Radio Club (SP3PDO) zal in 2026 twaalf speciale roepnamen gebruiken om zoveel mogelijk verschillende Poolse heiligen te eren. De eerste in de serie, SP1894MMK (1-31 januari), is voor St. Maximilian Maria Kolbe (SP3RN), geboren op 8 januari 1894 en vermoord in Auschwitz in 1941. Deze wordt gevolgd door: SP1440SL (februari), SP1040SSZ (maart), SP1865JML (april), SP1920KW (mei), SP1373JA (juni), SP1183JO (juli), SP1905MFK (augustus), SP1373AB (september), SP1550SK (oktober), SP1234KK (november) en SP1835JK (december).
